Every brand in this world has its own identity & values that it stands for. Similarly, Coca-Cola has made a pledge to the communities for playing its role in spreading optimism, happiness and ensuring sustainability of societies where we have the privilege to operate. Key enablers in fulfilling these commitments are our campaigns, community development initiatives and supply chain (operations), economic contribution amongst others. Following the philosophy of our recent campaign, ‘crazy for good’, I am pleased to share another initiative that has the potential to make a huge difference in the lives of our youth.
In 2012, The Coca-Cola Company in partnership with US State Department sponsored 100 scholarships from 6 countries across Middle East and North Africa to attend a one month intensive and multi-dimensional Summer Entrepreneurship Program at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business. From 2013 onward, Pakistan will also be a part of this program. The Coca-Cola Scholarship Program will offer a unique opportunity to Pakistani students for one-month Summer Entrepreneurship Program at Indiana University’s prestigious Kelley School of Business. The program will provide the opportunity to learn about business education through an accelerated curriculum.
The top 20 ideas (about how can you make your communities better) with the most votes will be shortlisted and 12 final winners will attend the summer program. Students must have Pakistani nationality (limited travel experience to US is preferred), be enrolled at a university, be between the ages of 18-23 and fluent in English, and must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. The program is also fully funded, including travel to and within the United States, accommodations, meals etc. Please see the requirements and apply before March 31st, 2013.
